Weinstein Flynn earned fourteen varsity letters (four each in lacrosse and gymnastics and three each in tennis and
indoor track). During Amy’s years at Woodson, the lacrosse team won a State championship (1997) and multiple Region and District titles, and Amy was selected All-Met (1996 & 1997), and All-Region and All-District multiple years (Region Player of the Year – 1997). In her senior year (1996-97), Amy was captain of all four varsity teams as well as named Fairfax County’s Donna de Verona Spirit of Sport Award winner (awarded to the county’s Athlete of the Year runner-up), Woodson’s Female Athlete of the Year, MVP in lacrosse and indoor track (field events), and the Cavalier Award winner in gymnastics and tennis. Amy attended the University of Pennsylvania where she was a four-year starter on the lacrosse team and captain her senior year. After college Amy continued to play and coach lacrosse at the highest post-collegiate club level as well as internationally in England, Australia and Japan. Amy also worked for Major League Lacrosse, helping launch the first-ever professional men’s lacrosse league.
