While at Woodson, Jessie Davis earned varsity letters in soccer (4) and indoor track & field (3). Jessie was a four year starter for the soccer team, which won three-straight district titles and went undefeated and won the district, region and state championships her junior year. Jessie twice was named All-district and All-Region and her senior year was named All--State, All-Met, team captain and Woodson Female Athlete of the Year. As a member of Woodson’s indoor track team Jessie competed at the State Championship in the 1000 meters and 4x800 meter relay team her junior year. Jessie attended Penn State University where she played soccer and was a Scholar All-American, two-time All-Big Ten honoree, three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. As a Nittany Lion Jessie captained the team her junior and senior years and they won four straight Big Ten Championships and made four NCAA tournament appearances, reaching the Final Four in 2005. While in graduate school, Jessie returned to Woodson to be an assistant coach of the varsity soccer team. Jessie took six years off of soccer to return to playing overseas in Australia and Northern Ireland, and eventually professionally in Sweden and Denmark, where she currently captains FC Nordsjælland.
