1976 - 1980

Pete Holbert earned four varsity basketball letters during his years at Woodson and at the conclusion of his career was Woodson’s leader in total points scored (1871 points) and average scoring per game (29.6 points per game). Pete was selected to the McDonald’s, Parade and Adidas All American teams (1980), first team All-State (1980), first team All-Met two times (1979 & 1980) as well as All-Region and All-District multiple years. In 1980 Pete played in the McDonald’s All-American and Capital Classic all-star games. Pete attended the University of Maryland where he was a member of the 1984 ACC Tournament Champion team.
